When you purchase a gift from us, we give an item of need or monetary donation to an organization in need, and we let you choose who to give the donation to.
REPRESENTATION MATTERS
As you may have noticed, diverse + inclusive toys are hard to come by in the toy aisle. Every kid deserves not only see themselves represented, but to also play with a doll that better represents our communities. We pride ourselves in hand-making dolls that come in a variety of colors and customization options. Kids not only can play with a doll that looks like themselves, but that also look like their friends. Every doll is handcrafted with love, which means they are sewn + embroidered, stitch by stitch. Our dolls are made with high quality cottons, linens, and premium fabrics, making our dolls soft + huggable. Which means that they can be loved and played with for years and years.
MEET THE MAKER
Hi, I'm Kate! I started The Linnea Company in 2021, and we are based in the Midcoast of Maine. After 10 years in the wedding industry, my family and I decided to make the move from Portland to Warren. This was the perfect excuse that I needed to start my own business. I love working with my hands, making meaningful connections in our community, and sharing a bit of joy with the world. This now allows me the ability to work from home and take care of our two girls at the same time. I am mama to Isla + Lucia.
As for the name- The Linnea flower, also known as the twin flower, grows in Sweden. The Linnea Company is a nod to both my Swedish heritage and to the twin-like nature of the dolls. My hope is that kids gifted with a Linnea doll see themselves (or one of their friends!) reflected in their new doll.
